Puck’s Free Library

Puck’s Free Library operates on an "honor system" where community members can take a book and/or leave a book, with the goal of sharing reading materials freely and encouraging a community of young readers. There is no formal check-out process, and users can take a book without immediately replacing it. Users are encouraged to share books when they can. The library is maintained by volunteer "stewards" who ensure donations are sorted and shelved into appropriate age sections and that the area is kept clean and welcoming.
- Take a book: Anyone can take a book to read, with no need to check it out or return the book they took.
- Share a book: Individuals are encouraged to leave a book or donate books to share, either to replace the one they took or to add new content to the collection.
- Honor system: The system relies on community members to keep the library stocked, making it a self-sustaining project.
- Stewardship: Volunteer steward(s) are responsible for the library's setup. maintenance, keeping it clean and organized.
